The navigation route involves the Natural Park of the Sile river and crosses the Venice Lagoon, incorporating many wonderful and little-known islands where you can enjoy the incredible peace and quiet. A day in dreamy and chaotic Venice is not to be missed, followed by long walks on the beaches of the Adriatic coast and a dip in the sea. A perfect combination of nature, culture, and history, accompanied by view that’s been taking peoples breath away for over 500 years.
Cruising through the Venice Lagoon is an incredible and unique experience. Venice is absolutely enchanting when seen from the water and you can avoid the city’s crowded, chaotic streets and alleyways. But the lagoon, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, offers much more. Cruise surrounded by incredible natural scenery; all the smaller islands around Venice (often little known to tourists), are wonderful stops. The most famous are certainly Burano and Murano, but you can also reach smaller islands with your boat, such as Torcello, Sant’Erasmo, San Francesco del Deserto, Vignole, and Pellestrina. That’s as well as other enchanting places, including the Natural Park of the Sile River and the beaches of the Adriatic. The Sile Natural Park has some of the most beautiful scenery in Italy’s navigable waterways. The canal, starting from our base in Casale sul Sile, is surrounded by nature, with plants and trees on both sides of the river, and is bordered by a cycle path.
During the summer season it’s possible to stop multiple times along the Adriatic coast for a nice swim or to spend a few hours on the beach. In this case, the itinerary to Jesolo, one of the most important tourist destinations in Northeast Italy, is what you’re looking for.
The Venice Lagoon knows no low season, offering services, attractions and events during every period of the year. For this reason, you can choose this itinerary at any time and you’ll be sure to find numerous activities to do, according to the season.
Along the itinerary there are only a few basins and movable bridges and cruising is therefore almost uninterrupted. Stops for sleeping have been planned for each stage of the itinerary, sometimes in well-equipped ports, sometimes in more natural and isolated areas. However, wherever you are, you will always find stores for purchasing your supplies.

You can choose popular and well-serviced locations with facilities for all ages, or, heading inland, fishing villages and archaeological sites.
The navigation area extends from Caorle in the west to Grado in the east. There are many marinas, all of which offer mooring places near the historic centers. The suggested locations are all connected by internal canals, so you don’t need to go out to sea. Cruising is varied, characterized by the large lagoon landscape, with both natural rivers and artificial canals.
This itinerary really lets you relax; the lagoon of Marano and Grado is easy to navigate and has some interesting features. We have fishermen friends who open their homes to our customers so you can enjoy grilled fresh fish and good wine in a friendly atmosphere, then spend the night moored at the casone.
The Roman city of Aquileia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is truly amazing. It’s an archaeological pearl that is worth a visit, as is the ancient village of Marano, which today houses a colorful fleet of fishing boats and an access point to an important protected nature reserve.
The cities of Lignano and Grado, at the two ends of the lagoon, are perfect for spending a day immersed in the summer nightlife; shops, restaurants, night clubs, beaches and attractions perfect for children and teenagers of all ages. There are some free beaches that can be reached by bicycle.
The itinerary includes a stop in the beautiful coastal town of Caorle, characterized by a typical colorful architecture, with a large pedestrianized area, modern services, and beautiful beaches. This location is known for the marshland huts lined with reeds, which can be admired by travelling slowly through the lagoon around the town. It’s also populated by all kinds of birds and wildlife.
Going up the River Lemene, you reach the Roman port of Concordia Sagittaria and the nearby Portogruaro; visit the recently restored ancient excavations. The cycle paths run alongside the navigable route, offering a dynamic alternative.
Arrival at the Venice Lagoon is not included in this itinerary due to the excessive distance, unless you opt for a 2-week cruise.

Get more infoThe history and its Venetian renaissance architecture characterize the Riviera del Brenta, an ancient sixteenth-century canal, along whose banks noble Venetian families built their luxurious summer residences.
Retracing the navigable route that has taken boats from Venice to Padua for over five centuries, you can admire these wonderful ancient villas.
The Riviera del Brenta is full of locks and movable bridges, and therefore requires patience and also a certain driving skill. You can even reach Padua, mooring near the historic center, and then visit the city by bicycle. Padua is one of Italy’s most important cities, with a historic university, pictorial artworks by Giotto, the basilica of Sant'Antonio, and marvelous squares and buildings.
It's important to remember that the departure and return of the cruise are always scheduled from the Casale sul Sile base. Therefore, you first proceed along the Sile river, then through the Venice Lagoon, and only on the third day can reach the Riviera del Brenta where you can cruise for the following 3 days, before returning to the starting base to complete your trip. Riviera del Brenta observes a weekly closure on Mondays so it’s a good idea to organize your navigation accordingly.
This itinerary can be completed only if you dispose of 7 night cruise
The famous “Venetian Villas”, some of which were designed by the founding architect of this tradition, Andrea Palladio, can be visited as museums. Others are private and are only viewable from the outside. Normally, five Villas can be visited, spread throughout the municipalities of Mira, Dolo, and Stra. The most important of these is undoubtedly Villa Pisani, known as “La Nazionale”, due to its historical significance during the Kingdom of Italy, as well as for its grandeur. This immense residence, complete with swimming pools and stables, a hedge maze in the park, and with rooms frescoed by major artists of the time, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and therefore unmissable.
Having bicycles is a significant advantage along this stretch for getting around the mooring and for visiting the tourist attractions. The itinerary is monumental and cultural and does not include areas suitable for swimming.

This itinerary is perfect for those who want a boat experience in the open air, with endless choices: every day, you can enjoy a swim at a different beach and visit a different cultural center. This one-way cruise takes you between fishing villages and lagoons, with straightforward cruising through low-traffic canals.

In terms of landscape and nature the territory is very varied, switching from canals to lagoons and rivers. The landscape never remains constant and the scenery changes hourly. Navigation is easy, free of water traffic, with good availability of moorings (including free ones).
The spearhead of this itinerary is the town of Caorle, with its colorful pedestrianized historic center and its long beaches, which can be reached by bike or on foot from a mooring near the center. The majestic fishing marshes surrounding the center can be visited by boat in complete peace and quiet.
